Presentation

2-day history of elbow pain and tenderness after a fall.

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

GR Elbow Right

x-ray

There is questionable olecranon process avulsion fracture. Correlate with point tenderness.

No significant joint effusion. Mild degenerative changes. Soft tissues appears within normal limits. Bone density is appropriate age.

Case Discussion

The patient is a 50-year-old male with no significant medical history. He fell off his bike and subsequently experienced elbow pain and tenderness. An x-ray confirmed a possible olecranon avulsion fracture. The fracture was immobilized in a posterior splint with slight extension. Early progressive active range of motion exercises with active extension avoidance was recommended before discharge.
