Presentation

Facial trauma and left eye abduction limitation and eyelids soft tissue swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Left orbital medial wall blow-out fracture with fat and medial rectus muscle herniation within the fracture gap, penetrated fractured bones within the muscle, transected proximal segment of the medial rectus muscle, and eyelids and peribulbar emphysema are seen.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates non-contrast MDCT features of the orbital medial wall blow-out fracture and transected medial rectus muscle entrapped within the fracture gap.
