Patent ductus arteriosus

A broad and short connection exists between the aortic arch and the left pulmonary artery just distal to the left subclavian artery. The pulmonary trunk and its main branches are enlarged with peripheral vascular pruning and mosaic lung attenuation. The overall feature is consistent with patent ductus arteriosus with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
Case Discussion
This is a type B patent ductus arteriosus (window, short, and wide ductus with blending of the pulmonary artery) according to the Krichenko classification that is based on CT angiography 1.
