Enlarged right globe with thinned sclera consistent with a staphyloma.
High signal foci in T2 and flair sequences at subcortical and periventricular white matter of both cerebral hemispheres depict microvascular ischemic events.
Prominency of ventricular system and brain sulci depict brain tissue volume loss (atrophia)
Case Discussion
Scleral thinning is observed outside the optic nerve head, which distinguishes it from coloboma. Staphyloma is a common finding in individuals with myopia.
