Rathke's cleft cyst - T2 hypointense signal

Presentation

Galactorrhea. Otherwise well.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

A 7 x 10 x 15 mm mass lesion perfectly located on the midline between both pituitary lobes

The mass displays isointense signal on T1 and homogenous hypointense on T2 weighted sequences with no evidence of obvious enhancement on postcontrast images

Minimal upward elevation of diaphragmatic sella and left side deviation of the pituitary stalk.

Regarding the imaging findings, Rathke's cleft cyst with a T2 hypointense signal is highly suggestive.
