Left flank pain and hematuria
Patient Data
Large multiloculated cyst with thick septae and higher internal density is seen at middle and lower pole of the left kidney. There is also hydronephrosis and several small stones on the same side. The right kidney is also involved. No evidence of hydroureter or ureter stones.
Case Discussion
There is a multiloculated cystic lesion with thick septations and high internal density on the left kidney with resultant hydronephrosis . Urine analysis showed hydaturia which is a pathognomonic sign of renal hydatidosis and results from the rupture of a hydatid cyst into the collecting system.
