Sclerotic rib metastasis

The anterior left 5th rib is sclerotic, with no associated pathological fracture. No further sclerotic lesions. The lungs are clear. The cardiopericardial silhouette and mediastinal contours are normal.
Case Discussion
The patient's PSA was raised and the sclerotic area was deemed to be a prostate sclerotic metastasis. The anterior ribs are downsloping on a chest radiograph, whereas the posterior ribs are more horizontal.
