Presentation

Fever and cough

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
ct

Scanogram revealed dextrocardia, right-sided aortic arch and left-sided liver shadow.

CT shows mirror-image change of thoracic and abdominal organs location, in keeping with situs inversus totalis.

Lung window shows bilateral ground-glass opacities, on posterior parts of both lower lobes, suggestive of pulmonary infection.

Case Discussion

Incidentally discovered situs inversus totalis in setting of acute pulmonary infection. No associated polysplenia or Kartagener syndrome.
