Free intraperitoneal fluid. Cross-sectional view of loops of the small bowel in motion. Note its relationship with the mesentery, which is more hyperechogenic.
Case Discussion
Patient with ascites. Free intraperitoneal fluid allows better observation of the bowel loops peristalsis.
Ultrasound was performed as surveillance.
