Splenic infarction due to splenic vein thrombosis

Filling defect is present within the few branches of right portal vein in favor of thrombosis. Partial thrombosis also is noted within the distal portion of splenic vein and mid portion of splenic artery, accompanied by marked spleen enlargement and several peripheral areas of hypo-attenuation and non-enhancement in favor of infarct. Perisplenic fat stranding is observed.
