Irregularity of the cortex of the proximal tibia. Buckle fracture of the proximal tibial metaphysis - a trampoline fracture.
Case Discussion
A trampoline fracture is a buckle fracture of the proximal tibial metaphysis caused by excessive axial loading. As such it is not only caused by trampolining accidents, but it does appear to be the dominant cause.
It usually happens when a smaller child is double-bounced by an older, heavier child or adult.
